UP News: UP government made fun of farmers, they are getting Basmati rice seeds for free

UP News: In Saharanpur, Scheduled Caste farmers are being given free Basmati rice  seeds for 1 acre of land . Farmers can get  this  seed by showing caste certificate at Krishi Vigyan Kendra .

UP Agriculture: Different varieties of paddy are cultivated in Saharanpur district and farmers are currently engaged in preparing for paddy cultivation. The government is also helping the farmers in this process. 

The government has once again expanded its schemes for Scheduled Caste farmers. Scheduled Caste farmers having about 1 acre of land are being given free paddy seeds, which include two varieties of Basmati.Simple Farmer Agricultural Equipment

Scheduled caste farmers can avail the benefits of this scheme by going to the Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Saharanpur and showing their caste certificate. There is no limit on the number of farmers in this, all the farmers who come will be provided this seed for free.

Just show a proof and get free paddy seeds. 

In-charge of Krishi Vigyan Kendra and Professor Dr. I.K. Kushwaha said that whatever schemes of ICI or IARI Indian Agricultural Research Institute come to Krishi Vigyan Kendra, they are implemented by us in the district. 

Scheduled Caste Sub Plan is being run at Saharanpur Krishi Vigyan Kendra through ICR, in which free seeds of Basmati rice are being distributed to all Scheduled Caste farmers for 1 acre cultivation.

To get free seeds, farmers will have to show Aadhar card, caste certificate or a letter written by the Pradhan, which shows that you are from Scheduled Caste and come from this village, at Krishi Vigyan Kendra and take seeds for 1 acre of Basmati paddy cultivation. Along with this, you will also have to show Khatauni that how much land you have. 

In this, seeds of both these varieties Pusa Basmati 1509 and Pusa Basmati 1718 are being distributed to the farmers for free. This seed distribution has started from 22 May.
