This work has been approved by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways of the Central Government and a budget of Rs 400 crore has been set for this.

The people of the area are happy with this decision. The people of Mewat region are considering this as a big development, because this will make travelling easier and the economic development of the region will also be rapid.

The plan to build a four-lane national highway from Nuh to Alwar has received NOC from the Forest Department. Now soon tenders will be issued for this project and construction work will begin.

This project will prove to be an important step towards the development of the area and people will get better road and transport facilities.

After getting the budget from the central government, the local people have expressed happiness and congratulated social worker Rajuddin who has been fighting for this for a long time. Mewat RTI Forum has also played a big role in this campaign.

Movement and hunger strike played an important role

According to educationist Master Abdul Wahab, Mewat RTI Manch had staged a dharna for six days at Barkali Chowk in the year 2018. Social worker Rajuddin played a special role in this dharna.

His wife Sabila Jung was also active in this movement. During the nearly 15-year-long struggle, Mewat RTI Manch and Mauji Foundation carried out many types of movements for the construction of the highway.

Many methods like hunger strike, submitting memorandum, signature campaign, sit-in demonstration and writing slogans on the walls were adopted. All these efforts were made to get this road built.

There will be a reduction in road accidents

The single lane highway from Nuh to Alwar has seen the death of around 2500 people in the last 10 years. This shows the big concern about road safety in this area. Now that this road is being made a four-lane road, it is expected that road accidents will reduce.

A memorandum was sent to Prime Minister Modi

In 2019, 20,000 people signed a 100-foot long cloth on behalf of Mewat RTI Manch. After this, this memorandum was sent to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding the construction of this highway.
