GST worth 4135 crores collected in Chhattisgarh during April, these states left behind

Chhattisgarh News: There has been significant progress in Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. By April 2025, Chhattisgarh has made its place in the top 15 states of the country by earning GST of Rs 4135 crore.
Mineral resources-rich Jharkhand, Kerala, Punjab and Bihar are also behind Chhattisgarh in GST collection. These include the abolition of non-essential and obstructive laws, online availability of all essential services, abolition of license requirement for opening petrol pumps and simplifying the process for setting up industries.
All these initiatives have encouraged industry and business activities in the state, strengthening the state's economy and increasing revenue collection continuously.
Bihar, Punjab and Kerala surpassed
Regarding the economic progress in the state, experts believe that this achievement is the result of major reforms made by the Chhattisgarh government in business and industry.
The state government has taken many decisions in the last 15 months under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai that increase investment and business.
The government has made many important reforms, including simplifying industry and business rules, removing unnecessary and obstructive laws, making all essential services available online, eliminating the need for licenses to open petrol pumps and simplifying the process of setting up industries.
Economic condition of the state
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has said that our aim is to make Chhattisgarh a self-reliant and prosperous state. This growth in the state's economic condition has been possible with the cooperation of the public and the industry.
“This performance is a positive sign for Chhattisgarh's economy and it shows that the state is moving beyond being a resource-based economy and is now emerging as a strong industrial center.
