Madhya Pradesh News: This bridge to be built in Madhya Pradesh will not only be the state's first six-lane cable-stayed bridge, but it will also be located on the Gwalior-Agra Greenfield Expressway, which will establish a direct connection between Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. It has received the approval of the Union Ministry and work is expected to start from November 2025. 

MP's first six-lane cable-stayed bridge between Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh is now going to come true. It has been proposed on the 88.40 km long Greenfield Expressway, which will strengthen the connectivity of the three states.

National Chambal Sanctuary Area

Madhya Pradesh's first six-lane cable stay bridge will be ready soon. This cable stay bridge will be built on the 88.40 km long Greenfield Expressway connecting Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. 

A 600 meter long stay cable bridge will be built on the Chambal river between Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. This bridge is to be built in the National Chambal Sanctuary area, where the cable rests on two large pillars. This bridge will be a complete copy of the Naini Cable Stay Bridge of Uttar Pradesh.

Modified version of a previously proposed bridge

Remember that the design of the proposed bridge has changed to build MP's first six-lane cable-stayed bridge on the 88.40 km long green field expressway. The decision to build this six-lane cable-stayed bridge between Rajasthan and MP has been taken by the Union Transport Ministry.

A bridge will be built in the National Chambal Sanctuary

This six lane cable stay bridge will be built for one kilometer in the sanctuary area of ​​Madhya Pradesh and will pass through the eco-sensitive area for two kilometers. NOC has been received for building the route.

Approval for Highway

These bridges have also received NOC in Rajasthan, which is in the sanctuary area for one kilometer in the protected boundary of about 9 km.

This express will also pass through a forest area of ​​about 1.5 km in Shanishchara area in Morena, MP. The forest department has also been given Rs 1.5 crore in return for this.

Central Ministry and Forest Advisory provided NOC

The construction of Greenfield Expressway (Agra-Gwalior) is complete. Six lane cable stay bridge should be built on IC Expressway. NHAI manager Prashant Meena said that the Union Ministry of Forest and Environment and Wildlife Advisory Board have given it NOC three days ago. 

Now the work of six lane cable stay bridge and expressway can be started by November 2025. The first six lane cable stay bridge to be built in Madhya Pradesh will look like Naini Cable Stay Bridge of Uttar Pradesh. 

These bridges will not look dazzling due to lighting decoration like Naini Bridge. This area is in the sanctuary, so it will not be illuminated.

What does a cable stayed bridge do?

Cable-stayed bridges are used to connect the bridge deck to the towers. These cables carry the entire weight of the bridge upwards, and are made strong with the help of huge pillars. They are called cable-stayed bridges because they are made of cables.

Features of Cable Stayed Bridge

1. Stable construction is the biggest advantage of such bridges. They have the ability to survive natural disasters like strong winds or earthquakes. And they do not break easily.
