Strict action will be taken against these BPL card holders in Haryana, know the reason

Big Breaking News: The news is from Haryana where questions are being raised on the increasing number of BPL (Haryana BPL Ration Card) card holders. 

Recently, the concerned department has received information that there are about 3.25 lakh BPL card holders in the state who have neither taken ration nor availed the benefits of any government scheme for the last few months.

Such card holders may either be fake, or they have got the cards made only to get government benefits. The state government is now gearing up to cancel such fake ration cards. 

BPL cards are reviewed on the 1st of every month, and this time in the review to be held on 1st May, the names of fake ration card holders can be removed from the list.

There were 51 lakh 97 thousand 984 BPL cards in Haryana on March 1, while by April 1, their number had decreased to 51 lakh 96 thousand 380, in which only 1604 cards were reduced. 

Now from May 1, the ration cards will be reviewed again, so that it can be known whether the number of BPL card holders in the state has increased or decreased.

There are 1 crore 97 lakh 13 thousand 944 beneficiary people under 51 lakh 96 thousand 380 BPL families in Haryana. The total population of the state is about 3 crores. 

Apart from this, Chief Minister Nayab Saini has released social security pension to 57 thousand 700 such people whose pension was stopped for the last 3 to 4 months due to various reasons, which also includes new pension.
