Rajasthan News: The proposal to make the railway station in this district of Rajasthan world class has been approved. Under this project, the station will be redeveloped at a cost of Rs 107.74 crore. The most important thing in this is that along with passenger facilities, parcel house and other arrangements will also be developed to promote goods transport.
Sanganer Railway Station Redevelopment: The long pending redevelopment work of Sanganer railway station of the capital Jaipur will now gain momentum.
The Railway Board has approved the new redevelopment plan of the station. According to railway officials, under this project, the station will be made world class at a cost of Rs 107.74 crore.
The special thing is that along with passenger facilities, parcel house and other facilities will also be developed to promote goods transport here.
This will also boost the print industry of Sanganer. Actually, Sanganer station is located near dense population and industrial activities.
It was struggling with lack of basic facilities for a long time, due to which only limited trains stopped here. Keeping in mind the demand of the local people, the railways selected this station under the 'Amrit Bharat Station Yojana'.
Its development work was also inaugurated last year, but the work was stopped due to the Bisalpur drinking water pipeline passing through the station premises.
In view of this obstacle, the railways revised the plan and sent it again to the Railway Board, which has now been approved. According to railway officials, preparations have been completed and work will start soon.
These facilities will be developed for passengers
- Four full length platforms will be built.
- A six meter wide foot over bridge will be constructed.
- Four lights, six escalators and six stairs will be installed.
- State-of-the-art electronic interlocking systems will be installed.
- Washable aprons and train washing terminal will be available.
- Separate parking will be available for two-wheelers, four-wheelers and autos.
- Excellent waiting room, better toilets and drinking water facilities will be available.
- Coach indication boards and digital displays will be installed.
The heritage of Rajasthan will also be visible in the station
After redevelopment, a glimpse of the rich culture of Rajasthan will also be seen at Sanganer station. The station building will have decoration based on heritage theme, which will give passengers a feeling of tradition along with modernity.
- New building, grand entrance and plenty of facilities.
- A grand building will be constructed in an area of 4000 square meters at the main entrance of the station.
- On the other hand, the second entrance (720 sqm) will also be developed. However, facilities here will be limited due to the Bisalpur drinking water pipeline.
- A parcel house will be built at the station for goods transportation.

According to railway officials, the redevelopment work of this station will be completed in two phases. First the station will be renovated and then the Sanganer yard will also be expanded along with doubling on the Jaipur-Sawai Madhopur rail section. The existing three lines of the station will be increased to five lines.
Along with this, the efficiency of train operations will also increase along with passenger facilities, which will make it possible to stop and operate more trains.
