According to IMD, many parts of Shimla, Mandi, Kullu, Chamba, Kangra and Sirmaur may receive light rain next week, which may lead to a drop in temperature.

According to the weather department forecast, these districts may also witness storms and hailstorms at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour. IMD has also issued a yellow alert on this. 

Where will the mercury fall and where will the heat increase? 

Due to rain and strong winds, the temperature of 6 hill towns of Himachal Pradesh may go below normal, while the lower areas of Una, Hamirpur, Bilaspur and Solan districts are likely to experience heat. IMD predicts that this Western Disturbance may remain active for the next 6 days. 

People are getting relief 

It is also important to mention that Himachal Pradesh has been receiving intermittent rains for the past one week. The people of the state have felt relief from the heat due to this and no heat wave was experienced even once in the 29 days of May, while the Central Meteorological Department had already warned of an increase in the number of heat wave days.
