Haryana news: A 750 km long expressway is going to be built through Haryana, which will benefit these 22 districts of the state, let's know the full news in detail...
The central government is continuously working to improve the roads of the country. In this series, a new Greenfield Expressway is going to be built from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh to Panipat in Haryana.
This expressway will be about 750 kilometers long and will connect 22 districts. This will not only reduce travel time, but will also create new opportunities for business and employment.
Districts connected by the expressway
This expressway will start from Gorakhpur and go to Panipat in Haryana via Shamli. A total of 22 districts of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana will come on this route. It includes Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Siddharth Nagar, Balrampur, Bahraich, Lucknow, Sitapur, Hardoi, Shahjahanpur, Badaun, Rampur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Sambhal, Amroha, Bijnor, Meerut, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar and Shamli. Earlier this project was only from Gorakhpur to Shamli but now it has been extended to the industrial city of Panipat in Haryana.
Travel time will be reduced.
With the construction of this expressway, it will be very easy for people to cover long distances. For example, the distance from Gorakhpur to Haridwar can now be covered in just 8 hours.
Earlier this journey used to take 10-12 hours. Now this distance can be covered in less time through the highway. This will save both time and fuel for the passengers.
Trade and development will increase.
Panipat, which is famous for textiles and industry, will now be directly connected to the backward districts of Uttar Pradesh. This will give the traders there an opportunity to reach a big market. New industries and business opportunities will increase and employment will also be generated. The government hopes that this will also accelerate economic development.
Who is making the plan?
The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) is responsible for planning and construction of this project. A Delhi-based ICT company has been selected to prepare the DPR (Detailed Project Report) of this project.
This company will decide how much the construction will cost, how much land will be required and which companies will be given the contract.
When will the expressway be built?
NHAI officials say that this expressway will be completed in three years. The work will be completed in several phases. After the DPR is prepared, the tender process will begin and construction companies will be selected.
